Edited Sounds

The clock sound effect, which I edited in GarageBand, was the sound of two percussion ‘drums’ recorded. The sound effect contains the sound of a clock ticking every second. In the recording of the audio, I recorded myself hitting the two percussion instruments repeatedly with my fingertips until I go into the right rhythm. The effect is repetitious as it is a clock repeatedly ticking every second. There is no harmony in the piece as it is not a musical piece. I manipulated the sound quality through using the available plug-ins in GarageBand, this included noise gate and auto-filter to remove background noises and pitch shifter which increased the pitch to suit better the clock ticking sound. I also created two identical audio tracks so to boost the texture of the ticking and also increase the loudness of each tick and tock.
