Action Fight Scene

This piece is designed to act as the soundtrack to the Legend of Zelda fight scene. I created it in GarageBand. The tempo of the piece is 120 BPM. It has four beats per bar. The piece contains contrast between different instruments and sections to convey the action in the fight scene, for example, the beginning peaceful section plays slower and calmer than later more action intense sections. The melody is highly repetitious because I used repeated loops as the individual character or situational motifs which when repeated creates a better connection between the viewer/player and the characters in the scene. The piece is in the key signature of C Major. The piece is structured according to the action happening in the fight scene. I made the piece polyphonic because it allowed for more freedom to create individual motifs and sounds through different loops and instruments, for example, I represent Princess Zelda through the harp which she plays. At first, she is seen playing it in the peaceful section before the fight, later when she is giving her harp to Link, I use a faster harp loop to represent her and the urgency and danger of the situation. The instruments used in the piece were: piano, harp, strings, and vox pad. I also used the following sound effects: Boomer FXs, footsteps, wind FX, evil laughter, female 'huh' sound and swords clanging.
